Overcome your inner obstacles
We are constantly facing challenges in our professional and personal life, and sometimes find ourselves feeling stuck, repeating old patterns, inefficient problem solving strategies, and behaviors that cause frustration and problems to our selves and people around us.
When we try to cope with challenges by using habitual, but inefficient, strategies, we experience psychological distress such as worries, anxiety, fatigue, conflicts in relationships, or other symptoms, and sometimes the attempts to avoid conflicted feelings and situations that stir up anxiety, creates new problems, or unregulated anxiety. When this is the case, psychotherapy may help you work through old patterns and problematic habits, so that you can face your challenges in a new, and more effective and satisfactory manner.
We offer psychotherapy to professionals, their partners and families, and private clients, either as individual psychotherapy, couples therapy, or family therapy, when children are involved. We speak English, Danish, Norwegian, and Swedish.
We offer these forms of psychotherapy:
The experience we bring
Our consultants are licensed psychologists, specializing in clinical and organizational psychology, with more than 20 years of experience in helping clients sort out personal psychological issues across a broad spectrum of problems and symptoms. We also train and supervise other mental health professionals in advanced clinical psychological methods.
The aim of our psychotherapeutic work is to help you overcome obstacles, and access your true potential as a professional and private person. This is done in a collaborative and straightforward process, where we pay close attention to your reactions and ways of handling challenges, so that you can find out what’s hindering you, work through unresolved psychological conflicts, and mobilize all your inner resources to overcome the difficulties in your current life.
We use evidence-based psychological methods, tailored to your specific needs and challenges. Our psychotherapeutic work is based on the highly effective, and empirically supported, method “Intensive Short-Term Dynamic Psychotherapy” (ISTDP). To secure the quality and continuous development of our services, we regularly get supervision on our work, and consult with some of the leading international researchers and authorities on psychotherapy and behavior change.
